Two different configurations of drywall partition walls were built within a post-tensioned CLT rocking wall subassembly. The overarching objective is to investigate the seismic performance of drywall partition walls when integrated with a rocking wall system, and to assess the influence of out-of-plane loading on the in-plane resistance of the walls. Both configurations also incorporated novel details aimed to reduce damage at low level seismic drifts. In the first configuration, a double or telescoping top track detail aimed to reduce damage at the wall ends was compared to a conventional slip track detail. In the second configuration, two different gap details (a corner gap and a distributed gap) aimed to delay the onset of damage due to collisions at return walls were compared.
