Natural Hazards Sessions at the 2024 AGU Meeting

NHERI researchers are encouraged to consider attending, and perhaps presenting, at the 2024 AGU meeting, which takes place December 9-13 in Washington, DC.

The theme for AGU2024 is “What’s next for science,” and it promises a robust collection of natural hazards sessions. The talks include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • What’s Next for Rapid, Post-Disaster Data Ingestion and Knowledge Dissemination Technologies Needed for Decision-Making
  • Advancing Building and Population Inventories to Support Equity and Inclusion
  • Earth Observation for Disaster Recovery and Risk Reduction
  • Elevating Equity: Shifting Climate and Disaster Risk Assessment for a Just Future
  • Earth Observations for Monitoring and Assessment of Risk and Resilience of Communities and Infrastructure
  • Remote Sensing and GIS Applications on Natural Hazard and Disaster management by Leveraging Machine Learning and Deep Learning
