Call for NHERI-Themed Papers in a Frontiers in Built Environment Special Collection
Published on January 10, 2024
Dear colleagues,
The NHERI Network Coordination Office is planning a third, NHERI-themed issue in Frontiers in Built Environment (FiBE). The topic is “NHERI 2015-2025: a Decade of Discovery in Natural Hazards Engineering.”
The collection will serve as a valuable capstone to the NSF-funded network — which has been instrumental in building resilience throughout the U.S. The NCO is now accepting paper abstracts.
NHERI's two previous FiBE collections have generated excellent exposure for NHERI research, receiving tens of thousands of views and downloads — and significant citations.
To participate in this effort, please send a high-level, plain-language abstract and title to the NCO special collection editors (see below) by Friday, January 26.
- The editors will use the accepted submissions to generate a proposal for this special issue. Accepted papers will be subject to FIBE's open-access publication fees.
- Papers must focus on notable, high-impact discoveries that involve a NHERI facility, resource, or dataset.
Lastly, we also are looking for individuals to serve on the issue’s editorial board. Please contact us if you would be willing to participate.
We look forward to hearing from you!
