West Lafayette, IN, Dec. 21, 2024 — Faculty and staff volunteers from the NSF-funded Natural Hazards Engineering Research Infrastructure, NHERI, were on hand at the AGU Fall Meeting in Washington, DC, Dec. 9-13, 2024.
An estimated 25,000 individuals attended the AGU 2024 Fall Meeting, all interested in Earth and space-science-related fields. NHERI was one of 300 exhibitors, which included NASA, NOAA, and multiple aspects of the US National Science Foundation.
A stalwart group of volunteers helped set up the NHERI booth, greet and interact with conference attendees, and pack up the booth for the next conference. Many thanks to Karen Dedinsky, Andrew Lyda, and Michael Grilliot of the NHERI RAPID; Maria Esteva, DesignSafe; Koorosh Lotfizadeh, NHERI UCSD; Barbaros Centiner, SimCenter; Abdullah Braik, NHERI Grad Student Council; Mohammad Khosravi, NHERI User Forum; Julio Ramirez, JoAnn Browning, Bill Holmes, and Marti LaChance, NHERI NCO.
