Kareem Wins Best Paper for 2019 in ASCE's Journal of Structural Engineering (Structural Hazards)

The NHERI SimCenter directors are very pleased to congratulate Ahsan Kareem, a co-PI at the SimCenter and the Robert M. Moran Professor of Engineering in the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering & Earth Sciences at the University of Notre Dame, on his most recent honor. Ahsan is the lead author of the Journal of Structural Engineering’s 2019 Best Journal Paper in Structural Hazards.

The paper is entitled: Generalized Wind Loading Chain: Time-Frequency Modeling Framework for Nonstationary Wind Effects on Structures.

This honor, like many others Kareem has received over his career, is a testament to his insight into structural engineering in the face of wind hazards.
